An administration official told ABC News that the Trump administration will target foreign-funded terrorists in order to stop their funding of terrorism.
The new effort is designed to combat ISIS’s efforts to recruit foreign fighters to the cause of the Islamic state.”ISIS will find itself on a collision course with the United States,” the official said.
“ISIS will likely be forced to fight in Syria and Iraq, where they will have a greater presence than they do in Syria or Iraq.
The United States will have to come up with a strategy to defeat ISIS.”
The Trump administration also has plans to ramp up border security in an effort to stem the flow of refugees from the Middle East and Africa.
The United States, Europe, Japan and Australia have already deployed forces to border regions to bolster border security and help prevent the spread of ISIS.
